Summary
Description Edenbridge Tunnel.jpg |
English:
The Redhill–Tonbridge line, looking east towards Edenbridge and Tonbridge, at the point where the line passes over the Uckfield branch of the Oxted line. The Uckfield route cuts through this area by means of the Edenbridge Tunnel; however, unusually, the Redhill–Tonbridge line appears to split that tunnel in half, so that Uckfield trains briefly leave the tunnel only to pass directly underneath this line before entering the tunnel again. The two inner portals of the tunnel are clearly visible here; they can also be seen from a passing train.
