English: Still from the American film Edgar Takes the Cake (1920) with Lucille Ricksen and Edward Peil, Jr. (credited as Johnny Jones), from page 83 of the September 25, 1920 Exhibitors Herald . This short film was one of the 12 part film series called The Adventures and Emotions of Edgar Pomeroy . The problem on the blackboard states: "A grocer has 3 ½ dozen eggs which cost him 4¢ per egg. What must he charge per egg to make a profit of 42¢ for the lot?"
