English: The Embassy of Montenegro located at 1610 New Hampshire Avenue , N.W. , in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Built around 1892 as a private residence, the Georgian Revival -style building is designated as a contributing property to the Dupont Circle Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. Previous occupants include the A. K. Rice Institute, Charles L. McCawley , Sarah H. McCawley (grandmother of Henry Cabot Lodge and daughter of Frederick T. Frelinghuysen ), the Washington School of Psychiatry, and the William Alanson White Foundation.
