Description
According to the 19th chapter of the Gospel of Luke , as Jesus approaches Jerusalem , he looks at the city and weeps over it ( Luke 19:41 ) (an event known as Flevit super illam in Latin language ), foretelling the suffering that awaits the city. The event took place on the Mount of Olives , on the background the Second Temple .
