English: Essayons Dramatic Club, a group of the U.S. Engineer Battalion, during the United States Civil War's Siege of Petersburg. Founded on January 27, 1864, the Essayons Dramatic Club continued for over a century and became one of the country's oldest amateur theatrical production companies.
