English: The Y axis shows the total population (both national and foreign) in millions. The blue bars show the non-Muslim population, while the yellow bars show the Muslim population in Spain. Note that the data on Muslim habitants in Spain is approximated, since the Spanish constitution do not allow to gather information on religious beliefs.

Source Own work, based on the annual reports (informes) of the Observatorio Andalusí, which can be downloaded from its website ( http://observatorio.hispanomuslim.es/cifras.html ), and the data of the Instituto Nacional de Estadística ( https://www.ine.es/dynt3/inebase/es/index.htm?padre=1894&capsel=1895 ). The information regarding Muslim population will be found on the first page of each Annual Report of the Observatorio Andalusí (e.g., Informe 2003).
