Summary
Description Fenway Park (7186363614).jpg |
Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox baseball club, celebrated its 100th anniversary in April 2012. To mark the occasion, I am taking a tour of the ballpark just a few weeks after the anniversary. I am standing on Yawkey Way, named after Tom Yawkey, who owned the Red Sox between 1933 and 1976, and rehabilitated both the team and the ballpark to a large extent. As seen here, Yawkey Way is home to the Red Sox Team Store, which is the gathering point for the hourly tours of Fenway Park. Tours happen on the hour, every day except holidays during daytime hours, though on game days, tours stop three hours before the first pitch. |
