Perahu Bagandung adalah kendaraan adat yang terdiri dari dua atau tiga sampan panjang yang diikat menjadi satu lalu ditegakkan dengan gulang-gulang (tunggul adat) dan dihiasi janur serta simbol-simbol adat setempat. Perahu ini biasa digunakan pada saat calon pengantin laki-laki menuju rumah penganti wanita, dalam bahasa setempat disebut tradisi Majampuik Limau. Tradisi ini telah dilakukan masyarakat turun temurun selama kurang lebih satu abad. Saat ini, warisan budaya tak benda kebanggan masyarakat, Perahu Bagandung dikemas dalam bentuk festival yang digelar setiap tahun bersaman dengan perayaan hari Raya Idul Fitri.
English:
Bagandung boat is a traditional vehicle consisting of two or long canoes that become one, enforced with gulang-gulang (custom stump), coconut leaf feast and traditional symbols. This boat is usually used when the groom goes to the bride's house, in the language called the majampuik limau tradition. This tradition has been carried out by the community for about a century. Currently, the Bagandung Boat tradition is packaged in the form of a festival that is held every year along with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
