Summary

Description
English: At an elevation between 11,000 and 12,000 feet the plateau of the Flat Tops mountains of Colorado is alpine tundra. Much of the plateau is treeless and home to grasses and flowering plants that grow close to the ground. The plateau is typically not snow free until early summer after which the flora are in bloom.
