Description
English: This picture is showing floating cultivation practices in naturally water-logged and low lying area of Barisal and Pirojpur district of Bangladesh. This is a very traditional method of agriculture farming in these areas as land is not available to cultivate for most of the time of the year. Floating beds are prepared using water hyacinth and multiple crops are grown on a single bed. This picture was taken from Baithakatha Village of Pirojpur District.
