A visit to <a href=" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walsall_Arboretum " rel="noreferrer nofollow">Walsall Arboretum</a>. I walked around half of it, as far as a gate, before following a path back towards the lake.
The big lake is called Hatherton Lake.
The sculpture of a horse was given a new home at the Arboretum in 2017. The sculpture was by the artist Marjan Wouda. It was originally commissioned by Walsall Council in the 1990s and originally stood outside the Civic Centre. The garden celebrates Walsall's industrial heritage and is situated by the site of the old limestone workings.
