Description Foster Bible Pictures 0057-1 Joseph and His Brothers Carry Jacob Back into the Land of Canaan To Be Buried in the Cave where Abraham and Sarah Were Buried.jpg |
English:
Joseph and His Brothers Carry Jacob Back into the Land of Canaan To Be Buried in the Cave where Abraham and Sarah Were Buried. Caption: "Jacob has died. Joseph and his brothers have carried him back into the land of Canaan, where he used to live, for Jacob told them that he wanted to be buried in that land. So they have carried him to Canaan to bury him in the cave where Abraham and Sarah were buried, and which Abraham bought of Ephron for four hundred pieces of silver. Joseph and his brothers went back to Egypt, and lived there, after they had buried their father. When Joseph was one hundred and ten years old he died. His brothers died also, but their children lived and became a great many people." Illustration from the 1897
