. Die gemeente Beaufort-Wes het dié gedenkteken ter nagedagtenis aan ds. Roux op hul kerkterrein laat oprig. Die bewoording lui: "In dankbare herinnering aan ds. Paul H. Roux. Geboren 28 september 1862. Gestorwen aan de slaapziekte 8 juni 1911. Hij was een man van zeldzame kracht die deze gemeente 5 jaar lang trouw en liefdevol en met grootten zegen heeft gediend. Ps. 116:15. Kostelijk is in de ogen des HEEREN de dood Zijner gunstgenoten." Dis op 10 Julie 1915 in die teenwoordigheid van ’n groot skare deur ds.

Memorial monument for Reverend
Paul Hendrik Roux
on the church grounds of the Protestant NG congregation Beaufort-Wes(t). The inscription reads: "In grateful memory of the Rev. Paul H. Roux. Born September 28, 1862. Died of sleeping sickness June 8, 1911. He was a man of rare strength who faithfully and lovingly blessed this congregation for 5 years. served. Psalm 116:15. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His favored ones." Rev. J. D. Kestell inaugurated this monument on 10 July 1915 in the presence of a large crowd.
