Notes Beschreibung aus Karl Woermanns Galeriekatalog 1887: Magdalena. Unter dichtbelaubten Felsen liegt Magdalena halb aufgerichtet, mit dem Rücken nach oben, stützt den Kopf auf den rechten Arm und dessen Ellenbogen auf das Buch, welches sie mit der linken Hand vor sich aufgeschlagen hält. Sie blickt eifrig lesend hinab. Links neben ihrem Kopfe steht ihr Salbgefäss. Ihre Brust ist nackt, wie die Füsse. Ein blauer Mantel umfliesst ihren Unterkörper, ihren Rücken und ihren Hinterkopf. Ihr blondes Haar fällt auf ihre Schultern herab. Sie ist vorn hell beleuchtet. Kupfer; h. 0,29 m; br. 0,39½ m
