Postcard found on eBay from the late 19th or perhaps early 20th century.
Text in German reads: "German Colonies / Eastern Carolines / Natives of the island of Truk" The earrings, clothing and wa (proa type canoe) of two native islanders can be seen. Note: The seller states the postcard is from the 1930s, however the real date is somewhere between the German-Spanish Treaty of 1899 and the Japanese occupation of the islands in 1914.
