The George VI postbox (No. EH45 29) in the village of Kirkton Manor, a couple of miles south west of
Peebles
in the Scottish Borders. It's been painted gold (possibly unofficially) in honour of local resident
Scott Brash
's equestrian team gold medal in the London 2012 Olympics. Another official box, a pillar box (No. EH45 13), was painted for him in the centre of Peebles.
