Car 842 at Paris late 40's
Description
English: This photograph from the late 1940s depicts Grand River Railway interurban car number 842 stopped at the Lake Erie and Northern Railway station in Paris, Ontario . By this point, both railways' operations, jointly managed as the Canadian Pacific Electric Lines, had become increasingly integrated. The sign in the window identifies it as a "SPECIAL" run, such as an excursion, rather than regular revenue service.
