Summary
Description Great Golden Digger Wasp (Sphex ichneumoneus) (8155898363).jpg | A happy great golden digger wasp on goldenrod. She was one of at least 14 species of wasps, bees and flies nectaring upon the glowing blossoms of this goldenrod "reef" at Juno Dunes Natural Area. There were also scheming voracious yellow jackets who, pretending to hunt nectar, would harass the others and sometimes attack the peaceful flower flies. |
