Summary

Description A green orchid bee approaches some firebush blossoms. This one is bluer than green. The green orchid bee used to be classified as Euglossa viridissima. It's natural range is Costa Rica to Mexico but there is a healthy population established here in Florida now. This big, boxy hovering buzzer is fun to watch!
