CHURCH WAS BUILT CIRCA 1904 IN SPANISH ECLECTIC MISSION STYLE TO REPLACE AN EARLIER CHURCH WHICH BECAME TOO SMALL WITH THE INFLUX OF IMMIGRANTS FROM EASTERN AND SOUTHER EUROPE. THE CHURCH IS NOW CLOSED AND IS USED AS A COMMUNITY CENTER WITH THE ADJACENT BUILDING TURNED INTO APARTMENTS
