Summary
Description Hand grenades US - Battle of the Bulge.jpg |
English:
American rifle grenades from the Battle of the Bulge.
(From Left to Right): M1 Grenade Adapter with Mk.2 Fragmentation Grenade, M22 Smoke Rifle Grenade with Impact fuze (unknown smoke color, possibly Green - munition was repainted low-visibility Olive Green #7 and lacks a color identification band on the warhead), M17 Fragmentation Rifle Grenade with Impact-fuze, M2 Grenade Adapter with AN/M8 Smoke Grenade (Red). Above them is a partial view of what is probably an M1 Garand Rifle and an unmounted M7 Grenade Launcher (for mounting on the M1 Rifle). Off to the left side is an 8-round Mannlicher-type en-bloc ammunition clip (fully loaded with inert .30-06 Dummy rounds) and the hilt of an M1 Bayonet, both for use with the M1 Garand Rifle.
