Summary

Description
English: Wran served his indenture from 1848 to 1852 as an apprentice stonemason while working for the Cathedral Works Organisation on St Peter the Great church. No record has survived indicating the extent of Wran's work, but in the light of his later career and carving on the GPO at Sydney, it can be assumed he had prior experience in sculting heads.
