The James Sivartsen Prize in Cancer Research is awarded each year to a Hebrew University researcher who is doing the most innovative work with application to the field of pediatric cancer research. The 10th and 2019 Prize was awarded to Dr. Asael Lubotzky , a physician and a PhD. student of Professor Yuval Dor and Dr. Ruth Shemer, who works on methylation patterns of circulating cell free DNA. Dr. Lubotzky (formerly Prof. Haim Cedar lab) was recognized for his studies on circulating cfDNA as cancer diagnostic markers.
