Description
English: Henry Clay Lester House, Main Street, Martinsville, Virginia. An early self-made tobacco manufacturer, Henry Clay Lester built his elaborate Victorian gothic home on downtown Martinsville's main thoroughfare, home to many other mansions built by prosperous local merchants and manufacturers. Lester's home burned in the early 1940s. Many of the other early homes nearby were demolished. (Retouched by MarmadukePercy)
