Italiano: Eroe armato che doma il leone; bassorilievo da Khorsabad , risalente al periodo di Sargon II (VIII secolo a.C.), alto m 4,45 è in pietra alabastrina. Conservato presso il Museo del Louvre . In passato tale figura è stata identificata in modo erroneo con Gilgameš; in realtà si tratta di una figura risalente al periodo protodinastico e utilizzata nei rilievi di Šarrukin (Khorsabad) per decorare i prospetti esterni delle corti, vedi Enrico Ascalone , Mesopotamia , Milano, Electa, 2005, p.15
