. Hopewell Junction Depot originally served the
Newburgh, Dutchess and Connecticut Railroad
, the
New York and New England Railroad
and
Dutchess County Railroad
, all three of which became part of the
New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad
, and assigned under their subsidiary known as the
Central New England Railway
from 1899 to 1927. Today, the station is a landmark along the Metro-North Beacon Line and serves as a trailhead for the Dutchess Rail Trail and the Maybrook Trailway. It was also added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 24, 2021.
