Description
English: An aerial photograph of Interstate 91 's Springfield, Massachusetts viaduct, shortly prior to the completion of the highway in Massachusetts. Note the crane in the background constructing Tower Square , which was completed in 1970, as well as St. Joseph's Church in the right-foreground. The viaduct would remove the city from its recreational and economic hub on the Connecticut River.
