Summary
Description ICC Sydney Convention Block, March 2017.jpg |
English:
Profile of the convention block of the
International Convention Centre Sydney
, as viewed from the dock nearby in March 2017. The convention block is one of three segments of the complex - it is the northernmost segment, and houses the Darling Harbour Theater, the Pyrmont Theater, the Parkside Ballroom, The Gallery, and the Grand Ballroom, along with many different rooms purposed for conventions of any scale and size. The building's design, an abstract form composed of many tesselating triangular shapes, was made to fit in well with surrounding buildings in
Darling Harbour
, which also adopt similar differentiating designs. The center was opened in December 2016, replacing the old
Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre
, which stood on the same site for 25 years.

Edit notes : Edited with GIMP 2.8.16 . Perspective tool used to fix verticality issues at the request of Llez . Brightened and sharpened, and gaussian blur filter applied on the sky to remove blotching. Gaussian blur effect was improved in second edit to avoid mistaking for Chromatic aberration . |
