Summary
Description Istanbul 062007 6973.jpg |
English:
Many metro stations have decoration in tiles, some of them spectacular. Here the theme is "history of the city", in particular the conquest in 1453 is well represented. We see the famous transport of ships to the Golden Horn, thus passing by the chain that supposedly prevented ships from getting there from the Bosporus. Curiously we also see more recent, metal, ships crossing the waters.
