Background
J. William White was professor of surgery at the University of Pennsylvania (John Rhae Barton professor). He was the first to use orchidectomy for the treatment of prostatic hypertrophy and was a early user of X-Ray, having published an extensive paper on its diagbostic capabilities for fractures nine months after Roentgen discovered X-Rays. He was responsible for restarting the Army Navy Game after it was suspended. — the preceding unsigned comment is by 71.224.197.136 ( talk • contribs )
