John's Place, off US-70 in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA. Established in 1949 by Ed McClellan (and originally known as Ed's Place) as a grocery store and restaurant for the city's small African-American community, and later remodeled by his brother, John. The restaurant is still operated by John McClellan's wife, Mary Alice McClellan, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
