The exhibit plaques state the following:

"Kamapua'a" - "Kamapua'a took many forms. His Kinolau (physical form) was part man and part pig. He represented Lono, who was the god of agriculture.
- "The original of this replica was pre-missionary and was found in a cave in up-country Maui."
