The Kanakeshwar Shiva temple of Kanpur, situated in Madhabpur Panchayet in Arambagh PS, is a one pinnacled or Ek Ratna temple established in 19th century. It is a prominent religious centre of this area. The Gajan festival of Lord Shiva and the Kalu Rai fair are celebrated with pomp and splendour. The temple has stucco work and each side has triple arch. The central arch has a convex design like an Atchala temple and there is one pinnacle situated above. The current priest of this temeple is Mr. Asis Bandhopadhay.
