Summary
Description Lapel comparison.jpg |
English:
Comparison of men's notched suit or blazer lapels. To the left, the English cut. To the right, the more conservative Spanish cut. The English notched lapel is by far the most commonly seen nowadays. It is rare to see a Spanish notched lapel outside Spain. The Spanish cut tends to be wider than the English, and has the particularity of being more rounded, whereas the English has 90 degree corners.

The Spanish lapel has also been described as a downward sloping notch, with "a rounded off tip and an 80 degree cran, one of the standout characteristics of the Spanish jacket".
