Summary
Description Latua pubiflora fruiting calyx, Herefordshire.jpg |
English:
Latua pubiflora (Griseb.) Baillon: a section of grey-green stem armed with characteristic spines, bearing leaf buds and a ripe, yellow fruit. As viewed here from above, the broad-lobed fruiting calyx, clothing half the roughly spherical berry, can be seen to advantage. Fruit borne by a cultivated specimen of this uncommon shrub growing in the Chilean garden of a specialist plant nursery in the village of Adforton, Herefordshire, U.K.
