Lcd_display_dead_pixel.jpg

Summary

Description
English: The LCD display of a digital photo camera (Nikon Coolpix 3100) in close-up, showing a dead pixel. Even though this is a dead pixel, it appears as a stuck red pixel to the naked eye. When displayed on a 15" monitor set to its optimum resolution (1024x768 pixels), the final photo has a magnification of about 40x. Photo taken with a Canon Powershot A95 camera and some additional equipment (a Pentax K mount 50 mm f:1.7 lens and a simple convex lens taken off a magnifying glass) to achieve the magnification.
