These MC4 connectors are used on solar panels. The positive (+) connector is on the left, and shows a red sealing ring, and the clips that secure the connector halves together.
The negative (-) connector is on the right. The positive connector has male-type exterior plastic but a female-type metal electrical connector inside it, so "male" and "female" are not clear for MC4.
