A well known Shakti Peeths of Hindu religion, Naina Devi Temple is sacred place of great devotion in Nainital. Goddess Naini Devi is the diety of Naini Devi Temple and located at northern end of famous Nainital Lake. Goddess in this holy temple is represented by her two eyes. Devotees from far away place comes here to take blessing of Maa Naina Devi. There are many shops in close proximity to the Naina Devi Temple from where one can buy the prasad and pooja items. The main shrine of Maa Naina Devi is bordered by two lion statues. Regarded as one of 51 Shakti Peeths, Naina Devi temple is the place where eyes from burned body of Goddess Sati falls when her corpse was being carried by Lord Shiva. So Goddess is praised here in the form of eyes. Naina Devi Temple is located at the northern end of Naini Lake in centre of Nainital city. One can reach Naina Devi temple easily by walk from Nainital bus stand. Nearest railway station is at Kathgodam railway station (35 kms) and airport at Pantnagar airport (55 kms) or Delhi IGI airport. Best time to visit Maa Naina Devi Temple is March, May, June, September, October, November, December. Also Goddess Nanda Devi Mohotsav is celebrated on last day of the fair from this 1st September till 7th September 2022.

हिंदू धर्म के एक प्रसिद्ध शक्ति पीठ, नैना देवी मंदिर नैनीताल में महान भक्ति का पवित्र स्थान है। माँ नैना देवी मंदिर प्रसिद्ध नैनीताल झील के उत्तरी छोर पर स्थित है। इस पवित्र मंदिर में देवी को उनकी दो आंखों द्वारा दर्शाया गया है। दूर-दराज से श्रद्धालु यहां मां नैना देवी का आशीर्वाद लेने आते हैं।
नैना देवी मंदिर के नजदीक कई दुकानें हैं जहां से प्रसाद और पूजा का सामान खरीदा जा सकता है। मां नैना देवी के मुख्य मंदिर की सीमा शेर की दो मूर्तियों से लगी हुई है। इसे 51 शक्ति पीठों में से एक के रूप में माना जाता है, नैना देवी मंदिर वह जगह है जहां देवी सती के जले हुए शरीर से आंखें गिरती हैं जब उनकी लाश को भगवान शिव के द्वारा ले जाया जा रहा था। इसलिए देवी की यहां आंखों के रूप में स्तुति की जाती है। नैना देवी मंदिर नैनीताल शहर के केंद्र में नैनी झील के उत्तरी छोर पर स्थित है। नैनीताल बस स्टैंड से पैदल चलकर नैना देवी मंदिर तक आसानी से पहुंचा जा सकता है। निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन काठगोदाम रेलवे स्टेशन (35 किमी) और पंतनगर हवाई अड्डा (55 किमी) या दिल्ली आईजीआई हवाई अड्डा है। मां नैना देवी मंदिर जाने का सबसे अच्छा समय मार्च, मई, जून, सितंबर, अक्टूबर, नवंबर, दिसंबर है। इसके अलावा नंदा देवी मोहोत्सव इस वर्ष 1 सितंबर से 7 सितंबर 2022 तक मनाया जायेगा। प्रविष्टि प्रकार - नि: शुल्क प्रविष्टि खुलने का समय - सुबह 6 बजे बंद होने का समय - रात 10 बजे |
