L'entrée Tolentini de l'université d'architecture IUAV à Venise selon un projet du grand architecte vénitien Carlo Scarpa
Réalisée en 1985 par Sergio Los, un collaborateur de Carlo Scarpa mais après la mort de ce dernier, l'entrée Tolentini de l'université d'architecture de Venise est inspirée de nombreux croquis du maître. Construite à l'entrée du couvent des Tolentini, à proximité de l'église San Nicola da Tolentino au nord de Venise, ce petit ensemble architectural s'intègre parfaitement à son environnement historique tout en donnant à l'université une identité visuelle forte. On reconnait dans cette entrée, constituée d'un portail ouvrant sur un petit jardin dans lequel Carlo Scarpa a conservé le portail d'origine mais l'a couché au sol dans un bassin d'eau, certains éléments plastiques caractéristiques de ses créations : les fentes, bordures et motifs en dent de scie, les bassins peu profonds, l'intégration d'éléments architecturaux anciens aux structures nouvelles en béton ou en pierre, le travail sur les obliques.. www.carloscarpa.it/index.php www.iuav.it/homepage/ |
