Summary
Description Mains powered electric Lamp.JPG |
English:
Wall plug and electric table lamp, a common application of centrally-generated electric power.
The table lamp has a compact fluorescent lamp bulb. The NEMA wall outlet is a North American NEMA standard 120 volt 60 hertz 15 amp receptacle. This particular receptacle is installed with the ground pin above the line and neutral connections. The lamp attachment plug is polarized so that it only fits one way into the outlet; this ensures that the neutral is connected to the lamp shell, protecting users from accidental contact with a live terminal if changing the bulb without unplugging the lamp. |
