Make_a_difference,_understanding_Pendleton's_recycling_program_DVIDS536228.jpg

Summary

Description
English: One bale of cardboard weighs approximately 1,600 pounds, which in turn, can be sold for about $170 each. Each year, Camp Pendleton recycles bales of cardboard. Although recycling participation is high on base, the man-hours that are used to extract trash from recycled products are excessive. Pendleton officials are asking base occupants to be aware of good recycling habits in order for its benefits to be truly effective.
