Summary
Description Maritime Civil Affairs Team 115 Makes An Impact In Tanzania DVIDS321310.jpg |
English:
Residents of Fundo Island, a small islet that is part of Pemba Island, position a 5,000 liter water cistern on a concrete support pad Sept. 13. The cistern project, initiated by Maritime Civil Affairs Team 115, will enable the residents of Fundo to have a reliable water source during power outages, which disable the pumps that supply Fundo through a pipeline from the main island of Pemba. The Little Creek, Va., based MCAT 115 is deployed to Tanzania as part of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. Maritime Civil Affairs Teams are deployed worldwide to assess partner-nation infrastructure and enhance capacity.
