View northwards, towards Leicester and the North on the ex-Midland (right) London St Pancras - Leicester - Sheffield/Derby etc. and (left) ex-London & North Western Rugby/Northampton - Stamford - Peterborough, also Melton Mowbray and Nottingham lines. The ex-LNW part of the station was to the left and the Midland lines crossed over the LNW lines about a mile to the north of the station, at Great Bowden. The locomotive is ex-Midland 0-6-0 No. 43261. The signalbox visible is No. 2. |
