Rt. Hon. Sir Roundell Palmer 1st Earl of Selborne.
Born 27 November 1812. Died 4 May 1895. Educated at St Mary's College, Winchester, and Trinity College, Oxford. Represented Plymouth in Parliament from 1847-1857, and Richmond in the County of York from 1861-1872. Was Solicitor General 1861-1863. Attorney General 1863-1866, and twice Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain from 1872-1874 and from 1880 to 1886. |
