...Les fenêtres hautes de la nef et du chœur de Notre-Dame de Reims, bien que construites vers le milieu du XIII e siècle, ont consacré le principe admis par l'architecte primitif de cet incomparable édifice. Ces fenêtres, indiquées d'ailleurs dans le croquis de Villard de Honnecourt antérieurement à la reprise des travaux de la cathédrale en 1241, appartiennent ainsi comme composition à une époque plus ancienne. Elles se composent d'un meneau central portant deux tiers-points avec un œil subdivisé par des redents à six lobes (2). Les meneaux reproduisent sur une plus grande largeur ceux des chapelles...
