English: Merchant Taylors Hall, the courtyard The Merchant Taylors form one of the 12 great City Livery Companies, with a history going back to the 14th century on this site. Some of the buildings date from the late 17th century (having been built after earlier ones were destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666) and were restored after bomb damage during the Second World War.
