Summary
Description Mersin Greenpeace action activists in 2015 7528.jpg |
English:
The Mertim complex is spectacular in itself, but I happened to pass when Greenpeace held an action that increased the spectacle considerably. An Action against Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant Project in Turkey. Six Greenpeace activists unfurled a banner on the 177 m tall building in the city of Mersin, the site of the planned first nuclear power plant in Turkey. The banner message in Turkish (“Nükleer pahaliya patlar”) has multiple meanings: "Nuclear is costly” and “Nuclear will explode”.
