Metouali (Shia) Woman of the B'kaa Valley The long fitted pantaloons with their wide ruffle flaring out over the ankle are the most distinguishing feature of the costume. The dress itself is of the most simple, long-sleeved style. It is practical for the working woman since it reaches below the knees. The Metouali woman's headdress is a black veil tied around the head with a folded scarf. |
