Description
English: Monkey Orchid (Orchis simia) Seen here at Hartslock, a Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust downland nature reserve above Goring at the point where the Chilterns meet the River Thames. It is one of only three sites in the country where this orchid is found (the other two being in Kent). The head and long arms, legs and tail of the individual flowers which give the plant its name can be seen in this photo.
