Monument in Canterbury Cathedral to John Boys (1571-1625) was Dean from 1619 to 1625. He is shown in his study infont of a bookcase. In 1599 he married Angela Bargrave of Bridge in Kent. His successor w:Isaac Bargrave (1586-1643), Dean of Canterbury from 1625 to 1643, was the sixth son of Robert Bargrave, of Bridge, Kent. John Boys died suddenly in his study in 1625. The monument was erected by his wife. Heraldic escutcheons:
